Maitreyi Ramakrishnan made her debut last year from the Netflix show ‘Never Have I Ever’ that became a success worldwide. She will soon be seen in another one of Netflix’s projects titled ‘The Netherfield Girls’. A film which is going to be inspired by the classic novel ‘Pride and Prejudice’ by Jane Austen.
Streaming giant, Netflix took to their Twitter to share this piece of news and revealed, “Never Have I Ever’s Maitreyi Ramakrishnan will star in The Netherfield Girls, a fresh and funny contemporary adaptation of Pride & Prejudice (think Easy A or 10 Things I Hate About You).”

Maitreyi will be seen playing the role of Lizzie Bennet, the protagonist of the movie. The Netherfield Girls will be directed by Becca Gleason while Temple Hill Entertainment is the producer. The release date of the movie is still awaited.
Apart from this, Maitreyi Ramakrishnan will also be reprising her role as Devi Vishwakumar in the second season of Never Have I Ever which is scheduled to premiere this year on Netflix.
