Mumbai: Jimmy Shergill who will next be seen in Eros International and Colour Yellow Productions’ Tanu Weds Manu Returns is all geared to impress with another brilliant performance , under the guidance of director Aanand L Rai, whom he shares a warm equation with.
What very few know is that Rai and Shergill go back a long way from the director’s very first film ! Jimmy starred in Strangers in 2007 , Aanand L Rai’s directorial debut and ever since has been an integral part of most of his films.
While Jimmy starred in Strangers, Tanu Weds Manu and now Tanu Weds Manu Returns, the director also found a special way of including the actor in his last blockbuster Raanjhanaa – Interestingly, Abhay Deol’s character in Raanjhanaa was called Jasjeet Shergill,named after Jimmy Shergill aka Jasjit Singh Shergill.
