1. Bhool Bhulaiya (2007)

This film by Priyadarshan also starred Akshay Kumar in the lead role. The film is centred around an ancestral home and some strange occurrences in it when an NRI couple decides to move in and live in it. It was one of the greatest hits of 2007.

2. Bhootnath (2008)

The legendary Amitabh Bachchan starred in this horror-comedy as a friendly neighbourhood ghost and all his efforts fail when a little kid refuses to get scared of him and doesn’t leave the house they have just moved into. It became a popular film amongst children.

3. Go Goa Gone (2013)

This was India’s first zombie horror-comedy. The film has a cult status among many fans. It was focused on a trio which goes to Goa for a break. Things take a drastic turn when they find themselves in an island which is infested with Zombies!

4. Golmaal Again (2017)

The fourth instalment in the Golmaal franchise by Rohit Shetty had a touch of horror in it. This rib ticking roller coaster of a film also had Tabu and Parineeti Chopra in the lead roles apart from the recurring cast of Ajay Devgn, Tusshar Kapoor, Kunal Khemmu and Shreyas Talpade.

5. Stree (2018)

Stree stood out from all the other horror-comedies which were masala entertainers as it had an important message for the people of the society. People highly appreciated this unique film with a progressive perspective and were all praises for it’s cast too that included Rajkummar Rao, Shraddha Kapoor and Pankaj Tripathi.
