The makers of Crown – a web series on a popular video streaming platform have reached out to Swara Bhaskar to extend a special invitation to the actor for the premiere of their second season in London, UK.
Swara who is a self-confessed fan of the show, was really excited to attend the premiere. But she not only attended the event but also interviewed lead actors — Claire Foy, Matt Smith and Vanessa Kirby.
Giving us more details, a source reveals, “As part of cross promotion strategy, the platform has influential people and actors who are considered to be credible and associated with good content. Swara was the only Bollywood actor who represented India at the premiere. She is known to be outspoken when it comes to talking about issues that make a difference. Her film choices have also proved her credibility as an actor and hence, they invited her to this exclusive do. It will be a short three-day trip as the actor has to resume her shoots.”
Talking about it, Swara says, “I’m obviously very excited to be part of this event. As a student of literature and history and as someone who is interested in politics, I really enjoyed watching season one. I think no one does history and literary adaptation like the British. So, when I heard that I was being invited for this exclusive preview and interaction with the lead cast, I obviously felt happy and honoured.”
