Tamil movie ‘Soorarai Pottru’ finally had its digital premiere last year on Amazon Prime Video. It got an incredible response from both critics and fans. Now the film has achieved one more milestone as IMDb, the online database of information related to films, television programs, home videos, video games, and so on has put the film in the #3 position in the list of ‘Highest Rated Films in the World’.
It has earned a rating of 9.1 (out of 10) on IMDb and falls right after the evergreen classics like Godfather and Shawshank Redemption. Soorarai Pottru was a fictionalized movie adaptation of the book ‘Simply Fly’, which was Air Deccan Founder G R Gopinath’s autobiography.
The production house of the film, 2D Entertainment congratulated the fans as well while sharing the news. The tweet mentioned by them said, “We made it to the top 3 in IMDb because of you! Maara sends his love and affection to everyone for the overwhelming support even after 6 months of release! ”
