One celebrity who worked tirelessly all of 2020 to bring some relief to the lives of the needy when the coronavirus hit India for the first time was Sonu Sood. He was one of the first celebrities who understood the wrath of the pandemic and lockdown with its effects on low-income individuals and families. It all started with arranging transport facilities for migrant workers to reach their hometowns and he has been unstoppable ever since.
People have been in awe of his vision and humanitarian work so much that they hailed him as their messiah and considered him no less than a god during such dark times. Unfortunately in 2021, India got badly hit with the second wave of COVID-19 and Sonu Sood stopped at nothing when it came down to saving lives by providing the essentials.
Here are some of the highlights of Sonu Sood’s commendable work during the second wave of COVID-19 in India during 2021:
1. Earlier this May, Sonu and his team ended up working an entire night to provide oxygen at AEAK Hospital situated in Bengaluru. As much as 20-22 lives were in danger due to the lack of oxygen cylinders.

2. This year, Sonu Sood had unfortunately also tested COVID positive. For his speedy recovery a fan named Praveen Kumar had tweeted that he will keeping a fast for him during Navaratri. The actor being the humble person he is, instead adviced him to fast for the betterment of the entire nation.

3. In a recent interview, the star had said that in his entire career the most important role he played was during the pandemic. He explained how migrant and daily wage workers are the backbone of all our comforts and it was very necessary to help them. The whole experience has been memorable for him.

4. Apart from being a humanitarian Sonu Sood is also a true visionary. In a video, he had appeared to the government that cremation services should be free of cost during these tough times as everyone deserves to cremate their loved ones who lost their lives in a respectful manner. In another video he also put forward his point for making education free of cost for the students who have lost either one or both their parents during this pandemic.

5. Owing to his tireless efforts and noble deeds, many celebrities from the industry also expressed via their social media handles that there is no better candidate than Sonu Sood to be the next PM of India. When he was asked about it, the star humbly reacted by saying, “Hum aam insaan ache hai bhai, aam insaan better hai. Wo apna kaam nahi hai na.”
Sonu Sood has most definitely been the flag bearer of hope during the darkest times experienced by the nation.
