1. She began going films when she was as young as 13. She started out with featuring in south indian cinema, before shifting towards Bollywood. Her first Telugu film was Intii Gutti. She further did other films too like Rangula Ratnam, Operation Jackpot Nalli C.I.D 999.

2. Apart from being a great actress, her voice also has whole another fan base in the industry. Turns out she had also gotten into dubbing in the early stages of her career and lent her voice to stars like Neetu Singh (for Yaarana) and Smita Patil (for Waaris).
3. Rekha also has a knack for singing and because of that. legendary composer RD Burman even requested her to hum two songs for the film ‘Khoobsurat’, that the actress gladly did.
4. A whole lot of people are required to create various looks for an actor. However, Rekha has always been the person who does it all by herself, be it public appearances or everyday clothing. No one can beat her elegance till date.
5. So far, the actress has appeared in over 150 films, won 1 national award, 3 filmfare awards ad is also a recipient of the Padma Shri from 2010.
