Mumbai: The cast and crew of Welcome Back were in for a scary surprise when a snake made its way to the sets of Welcome Back in Filmcity last week – While shooting at an open location in Filmcity, a snake was found on the sets and immediately led to panic with the cast and crew made to evacuate the area.
A professional snake catcher and forest officials were called on the sets and it took over 4 hours to safely get the snake into the case ,which was then handed over to a wildlife shelter establishment.
Confirming the news says a unit source, “Yes a snake made its way to the Welcome Back sets and it did lead to a lot of chaos since the cast and crew had to wait in their vanity vans and the set had to be cleared – Forest officials and a snake catcher were summoned and it took over 4 hours before the shoot could resume”.
When contacted says director Anees Bazmee, ” We hope the surprise visit from the snake on the sets proves to be lucky for the film”.
Produced by Firoz A Nadiadwala,Welcome Back directed by Anees Bazmee is scheduled to release 29th May 2015. The film stars John Abraham, Shruti Haasan, Nana Patekar, Anil Kapoor, Paresh Rawal, Naseeruddin Shah, Dimple Kapadia, Shiney Ahuja and Ankita Srivastava.
