International streaming giant, Netflix has released the trailer for their upcoming coming of age film titled ‘Skater Girl’. The film is going to be an interesting one as it will feature an amalgamation of both American and Indian cultures. Directed by Manjari Makijany, the daughter of noted actor Mac Mohan, the story of ‘Skater Girl’ comes all the way from rural Rajasthan.
Rachel Sanchita Gupta will be making her debut with this film. She will be playing the character of ‘Prerna’, a young girl from Rajasthan who grows fascinated by a skateboard and tries to learn the sport. While doing so, she also tries to find her true calling and identity.

The description under the trailer said, “When a teen in rural India discovers a life-changing passion for skateboarding, she faces a rough road as she follows her dream to compete.” Skater Girl will also star Amrit Maghera and Waheeda Rehman in key roles. It is all set to release on Netflix on 11 June 2021.
