The day for the release of the upcoming Amazon Prime Video film ‘Sherni’ is coming close. Amidst the wait, a new promo was released from the maker of the films. Starring Vidya Balan in the lead role, Sherni is going to be a drama about the neverending man-animal conflict.
Through the trailer, we got a closer look into Vidya Balan’s character who is also named Vidya in the movie. She is shown to have transferred to a rural area that is being threatened by a man-eating tiger. Other actors from the film like Sharat Saxena, Neeraj Kabi and Vijay Raaz were also featured in the promo.

Known to have beautifully broken through so many stereotypes with her various roles, fans have hailed Vidya Balan as the perfect choice to be the leading lady in the film. Directed by Amir Masurkar who created Oscar buzz through is previous film Newton, Sherni will be hitting the digital screens on 2 July 2021.
