One of the most loved couples, Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas have extended their help towards the ongoing flood crisis in Assam. They had earlier made donations for the coronavirus pandemic to PM CARES fund and also UNICEF, in order to help daily wage labourers in these tough times.
The duo also asked their supporters to help the needy during these dark times of crises. On their social media handle, they also shared the name of some organisations where you can make a donation to show your support.
On one of her Instagram stories, Chopra wrote, “While we are all still dealing with the effects of the global pandemic, the Indian state of Assam has been grappling with another major crisis. It has been devastated by floods triggered by heavy monsoon showers affecting the lives of millions. The impact to life and land/property is unimaginable. The rapidly rising water level has also flooded the Kaziranga National Park, one of the finest wildlife sanctuaries in the world.”
She continued on her next post, “They need our attention and support. I’m sharing details of a few credible organizations that are doing some good work on the ground in Assam, and Nick and I have made a donation to each. Let us support them so they can continue to help those in need. #Assamfloods #PrayForAssam #AssamNeedsHelp”
Her husband, Nick Jonas also reshared her post on his stories and encouraged all his fans to come forward and whelp with the crisis.
The couple has been spending the lockdown in their house in the United States.
