Vidya Balan’s upcoming film, Shakuntala Devi is nearing its release date. A song from the film titled ‘Paheli’ got released recently featuring Sanya Malhotra and Vidya Balan. In the film, Sanya has portrayed the character of Shakuntala’s daughter and the song captures the highs and lows of the bond beautifully.
The film is based on Shakuntala Devi, who was a renowned mathematician in the 80s. She was nicknamed ‘the human-computer’ owing to her exceptional skills of mental mathematics. The music video suggests that being a prodigy, it wasn’t easy for her to raise her daughter the normal way. The mother-daughter duo has been shown embracing their own kind of normal through this video. The tune of the song is soothing and has been sung by Priya Saraiya.
Shakuntala Devi is scheduled for an OTT release on Amazon Prime Video on 31st July 2020.
