IFFI Goa 2017 ended on a great note with veteran actor Nana Patekar visiting Picture Time Digiplex – the mobile theatres stationed at Bioscope Village, introduced by the Entertainment Society of Goa.

The talented actor enthralled the audience with his interesting one-liners along with popular film and stage actor Manoj Joshi.

Speaking at the event, the senior actor said, “The concept of Bioscope Village is not new to me in the sense that we used to watch films this way in my village when a particular group used to arrive with a film and everyone used to watch it together. We can’t make big multiplexes in villages because that’s not commercially viable. That’s why such a concept is favourable at such places. It is a great initiative for people staying in villages who couldn’t afford watching films.” Sharing his Goa-connection, he added, “I live in Goa whenever I wish to. I live a perfectly normal life.”

On the special occasion, Manoj Joshi commented, “Goa is rich in terms of cultural heritage and with IFFI being organised in the state, what else one can ask for.” Talking about his film and theatre background, the actor added, “I wanted to do theatre. But then I moved on to films to make a living. Everyone offered me the role of an inspector and I rejected all of them. Priyadarshan Sir is my godfather. He experimented with my versatility and I’ve worked with him on 12 films.”

The 48th Edition of IFFI is taking place from the 20th to 28th of November, 2017 in the beach state of Goa.
