Former captain of the Indian cricket team Mahinder Singh Dhoni announced his retirement from the beloved sports. But he has other plans to keep his fans engaged as he is venturing into the entertainment industry. A media company found by him ‘Dhoni Entertainment’ is all set to bring into production a series which is based upon an unpublished book written by a debutant author, Akshat Gupta.
His wife Sakshi Dhoni is the managing director of the production house. She shared the first look of the upcoming project on her Instagram post, presented in an animated manner. The snippet gave off ancient epic vibes and looked like it’s based on mythology. It is called ‘The Hidden Hindu’. Sakshi captioned it, “Time to unlock! Thank you @akshat.gupta02 for opening our minds to the wonders of our imagination! We @dhoni.entertainment are glad to have you onboard in this journey !”

This is not the first project being produced by the former captain. In 2019, Dhoni Entertainment produced the documentary web series titled ‘Roar of the Lion’ about the IPL team Chennai Super Kings who entered the tournament once again after a 2-year ban.
The pre-production process for the upcoming series has started which involves finalising the cast and recce.
