Most talked about K-pop bands in India during 2020

In a survey done by Twitter at the end of the year, it released the list of most talked about K-pop bands that trended in India.

One of the most popular global genres that is ruling every playlist internationally has to be K-Pop or Korean pop. Young adults, as well as pre-teens, are extremely obsessed with this musical genre and have formed an incredible fan base for it all over the world. One such country which has one of the biggest fans of K-pop includes India.

In a survey done by Twitter at the end of the year, it released the list of most talked about K-pop bands that trended in India.

Let’s take a look at them:

1. BTS

This boyband has earned the title of being world’s number 1 boyband. It’s a seven-member group consisting of  RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook. Some of their most popular songs are Dynamite, Fake Love, Blood Sweat & Tears, Fire and so on.

2.EXO

It is a 9 member boyband. Their music has a touch of EDM (electronic dance move), trap and house. The band consists of Xiumin, Suho, Lay, Baekhyun, Chen, Chanyeol, D.O., Kai and Sehun. Their popular songs are Beautiful, Call Me Baby, Monster, Ko Ko Bop.

3. Twice

Twice is a girl band with 9 members. It was formed within the reality girl group survival show titled ‘Sixteen’. In 2019, they received the honour of being ‘the best-selling Korean girl group of all-time’. Their noted tracks are TT, More & More, Likey, Feel Special, etc.

4. TXT

TXT is short for ‘Tomorrow X Together’. Soobin, Yeonjun, Beomgyu, Taehyun and HueningKai are the members of this boy band. They had their debut in 2019 itself and quickly rose to global fame. Their most famous songs include, Crown, 9 and three quarters, Can’t you see me?, Runaway and more.

5. GOT7

The reason why this 7-member boy band stands out is because of the mindblowing skills like martial arts tricking and street dancing they do on stage apart from singing. The band consists of  Mark, Jinyoung, Youngjae, Yugyeom, JB, BamBam, and Jackson. Some of their popular songs include Hard Carry, You Calling My Name, Not By The Moon, Just Right, etc.
