As makers are resorting to releasing more and more content on OTT platforms, they are slowly adapting to the shift in content consumption. Fans of Malayalam superstar Mohanlal got extremely excited as the actor announced that the second installment of Drishyam series ‘Drishyam 2’ is headed for an OTT release. The film will be coming out on Amazon Prime Video.
He shared the teaser of the film on his Twitter handle and revealed, “Georgekutty and his family are coming soon on @PrimeVideoIN

Jeethu Joseph is returning as the director and writer for the sequel as well. The first part got released in 2013 and was well received by the fans. The film followed the story of a man named Georgekutty and his family. When the son of an Inspector-general of police gets killed, they come under suspicion.
A Bollywood adaptation of the film was also made with the same name that had Ajay Devgn, Tabu and Shriya Saran playing major roles.
Drishyam 2 will be streaming on Amazon Prime Video soon. The teaser video said, ‘coming soon’
