Mumbai: After months of speculations and rumors, television actress Jennifer Winget has finally admitted that her marriage with actor Karan Singh Grover is now over. They got married in April 2012.
The actress’s spokesperson issued an official statement to Bombay Times which stated, “Jennifer is currently shooting for Kunal Kohli’s film in London and has requested not to be disturbed. Jennifer has also requested for implicit privacy at this stage in her life.”
Though for some, the news may be shocking but we at Bollywood Dhamaka saw it coming. We had reported earlier that as per our sources, Winget had moved out of their apartment in July and things had been troublesome since long. The rumors about their marriage being on the rocks started coming out as early as April but she kept on denying repeatedly and said all is well while Karan chose to not respond.
She had kept mum all this while but as soon as Karan made an appearance for an event recently, where he said no to things being well between the couple and on being probed further, responded by saying no comments at this stage, she came out of hiding and gave an official statement. She also changed her name on Twitter last night from Jennifer Singh Grover to Jennifer Winget. And very conveniently she played the victim card by putting all the blame on Karan’s philandering ways. Well perfect timing is what we can say.
And we just wonder that as a celeb, the least she could have done was to end it on a good note and in a dignified manner as she was the one who kept on lying to her fans all the while. Whatever the reasons may be for their parting ways but playing the victim card and blaming the other is not something that being a public figure one should have done. Here we are all praises to Karan for not washing dirty linen in public and protected her interest just like the gentleman he is.
Well here’s wishing them luck for their future endeavors’ as they both will be making their Bollywood debuts soon. And we hope that they are given some privacy at this stage.
