The Indian music industry is very diverse and brimming with talent. So much that sometimes noted international artists get interested in it and sample music from it to inspire new tracks. Often times it also goes unnoticed when the track becomes a worldwide hit.

We here at Bollywood Dhamaka have made a specially curated list of all the tracks that got derived from Bollywood songs:

1. T-Pain – That’s Yo Money inspired by Tum Hi Ho – Aashiqui 2

During its release, the song created a lot of controversy as the producer of Tum Hi Ho, Mithoon accused T Pain of sampling the song without his knowledge. Soon after that, all the Indian fans showed their support to the original producers regarding the entire matter.

2. Simge – Kamera came from Badtameez Dil

Everything from the background music of the song to the tune of the vocals of the song ‘Kamera’ by Turkish artist Simge has been inspired by Badtameez Dil that released in the year 2013 from the movie Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani.

3. Jelena Karleusa’s Nova Religija was derived from Dum Dum in Band Baaja Baaraat

Jelena Karleusa is a Serbian Singer who sampled her song from the hit track Dum Dum that featured in the film Band Baja Baaraat and the film’s score was composed by the duo Salim-Sulaiman,

4. – It’s My Birthday came from Urvashi – AR Rahman

It was a very big affair when noted AR Rahman hit Urvashi got made into ‘It’s my birthday’ by international artist Both of them also shared screen space where they talked about music and creativity where mentioned how much he has loved music from India.

5. CJ – Whoopty’s origin was Sanam Re title track

The vowel-y vocal that plays in the intro of the Sanam Re song with the guitar riff was turned into a drill beat for a song called Whoopty by CJ. This latest creation has been ruling over everyone’s playlist from all over the world.
