This year’s Independence Day has been very different than all the others owing to the social distancing norms initiated due to the coronavirus pandemic. Due to this, people failed to physically come together to showcase their love for their country.
However, the Nightingale of Bollywood, Lata Mangeshkar on her Twitter handle, introduced everyone the new initiative taken by Google AI along with Prasar Bharati to create the virtual national anthem on the 74th Independence day. She also mentioned that the video features her grand-niece, Saanjali.

The video for the same has been directed by celebrated filmmaker Bharatbala. He has previously been the producer of the album ‘Vande Mataram’. The popular music video from the year 2000 ‘Jana Gana Mana’ was also directed by him. The renowned filmmaker has also been the person behind directing the music video for the song ‘Jiyo Utho Bado Jeeto’ for the Commonwealth Games of 2010.
He has also directed the Tamil survival film, Maryan, which had Dhanush and Parvathy Thiruvothu in lead roles.
