Today marks the 74th celebration of Independence day 2020. Although the recent coronavirus pandemic has separated us with one another, the sense of enthusiasm and unity among all the citizen is greater than ever on this important day, which is celebrated to honour all the fierce struggles and sacrifices made by our freedom fighters.

Veteran legend, Amitabh Bachchan took to his social media to share a few poetic lines written by his father Shri. Harivansh Rai Bachchan. He also paid his tribute to the actual fighters of this current crisis on this Independence Day, the doctors and the health experts.

Akshay Kumar asked everyone to help the small scale street vendors on this day and urged them to take responsibility so that, a bit of relief is provided to the poverty-stricken people of the country.

Anupam Kher also wished every individual on a special day and expressed that he will pray to God so that India reaches great heights and flourishes for years to come.

Now a global sensation and a huge supporter of women empowerment, Priyanka Chopra wished everyone Independence Day in a unique way. She posted a video on her social media, to recognise all the contributions made by women during the time of the freedom struggle in India.

Vicky Kaushal also released a video on his Instagram on the account of this day of the national flag hoisted high.
