Genres like horror and comedy rarely work when mixed together. The 2018 film ‘Stree’ was the perfect example of that. The film starred Rajkumar Rao, Shraddha Kapoor, Pankaj Tripathi, Aparshakti Khurana and Abhishek Banerjee in lead roles. It is considered to be one of the most successful experiments from the Hindi film industry.

The film told a tale of a small town in Madhya Pradesh called Chanderi where the men of the village are scared of a dark entity known as ‘Stree’ who abducts them after seducing them late at night, leaving no trace except for their clothes. The film that started out as a light-hearted horror comedy gave out a strong message at the end without too much moral policing, making it a great watch.

On the film’s two year anniversary, one of the stars of the film, Shraddha Kapoor was seen celebrating the occasion. She took to Instagram to share some never seen before pictures from the sets of the film. She captioned one of the posts, “Will always cherish being a part of such a beautifully written and directed film ? @rajanddk @amarkaushik ”
