Mumbai: Sabbir Khan, who had worked with Hollywood action star Sylvester Stallone in his debut film ‘Kambakht Ishq’, often says that he has found a ‘desi Stallone’ in Vikram Singh, who plays the antagonist Rajjo Fauji in Khan’s upcoming film ‘Heropanti’.
A source attached to the film says, “When Sabbir Khan met Vikram Singh for the first time during the auditions, he was taken aback at Vikram’s resemblance to Stallone and during the shooting of the film, Khan would addressSingh as ‘Sly’and ‘Rocky’ as in the latter film, Stallone had played a boxer and Singh himself is a trained boxer too.”
Confirming the news, Vikram Singh says, “It was a huge honour for me to be nicknamed ‘Sly’ by Sabbir Khan as I am a big fan of Stallone and consider him my idol.”
On his part, Sabbir says, “Vikram will be seen playing the role of a loud Haryanvi Jaat named Rajjo Fauji in ‘Heropanti’ and I must say that I could not have found a better actor than Vikram to essay this role because of his impressive physique and powerful screen presence.”
