Kay Kay Menon is one of the best of the best among the contemporary actors we have in today’s time. He as an outsider within the Hindi film industry and worked in the advertising sector during the early stages of his career. Soon he tried his hand at acting through theatre plays and got a chance to work with the legendary actor Naseeruddin Shah in the play Mahatma Vs Gandhi.

Although the film was filed with great performances by Shahid Kapoor and Tabu. Kay Kay Menon’s portrayal of Khurram, the antagonist was on whole another level. He played the role of Khurram Meer, who is Haider’s uncle and ends up marrying his mother on the verge of filling his political aspirations.

2. Brig. Pratap – Shaurya (2008)

An adaptation of the film ‘A Few Goof Men’ the actor gave a stunning performance of brigadier Rudra Pratap Singh, who has some really intense scenes with another lead of the film Rahul Pose. No one will ever be able to forget the powerful courtroom scene where he says, “Tum mujhe acche bure ka paath mat sikhao, tumhaari auqaat nahi hai!”

3. Dukey Banna – Gulaal (2009)

Kay Kay Menon was seen in the role of Dukey Banna in this Anurag Kashyap directorial. He was a pallbearer of the Rajputana clan and a statesman. His character’s ruthlessness and cunningness is what made the film so good which was about politics and the price one has to pay while entering the field.

4. Vishnu Nagare – Sarkar (2005)

It was this film through which KK Menon garnered attention for his superb acting skills and also earned a Filmfare nomination in the ‘Best Actor in a Negative Role’ category. The film featured him playing the role of Vishnu Nagre, who is the eldest son of Subhash Nagre (played by Amitabh Bachchan). He had a lasting impact on the audience.

5. Ranjeet – Life in a… Metro (2007)

This role by the actor also garnered a lot of critical acclaim. In this Anurag Basu directorial, he played the role of an unfaithful husband involved in an extramaritial affair. His portrayal showcased the complexities of a relationship in a very raw and authentic manner.
