There have been many films belonging to Bollywood which have made it to the submissions within the Best International Feature Film category at the Academy Awards, most commonly known as the Oscars. It is one of the most prestigious award ceremonies at an International level which are given for artistic and technical merit.

This is a satirical comedy which depicted the tragic issue of farmer suicides within our nation and how it is perceived politically and through the media. Anusha Rizvi was the writer and the director for the film and marked her debut while the film was backed up by Aamir Khan Productions.
