As the prolonged lock down led to shutting down of cinema halls in the month of March, many upcoming films opted to have a premier on the digital space. Needless to day, the streaming platform became immensely popular and watchers also liked this new concept of streaming films as per the comfort of their own homes.
After a successful debut of Bollywood films into the OTT space, film industries within south India were also intrigued with the idea of having digital premiers. Hence, many projects also slowly ventured into the digital space and had successful premieres and many others are on the way.

This romantic – drama will feature Shraddha Shrinath and R Madhavan. It will mark the directorial debut of Dhilip Kumar and is the official remake of the Malayalam film Charlie. Madhavan will be seen in the role of a carefree vagabond in the film while Shraddha will be a 20 something girl. It is all set to release on Amazon Prime Video on 17 December 2020.
2. Halal Love Story (Malayalam)

Directed by Zakariya Mohammed and starring Parvathy Thiruvothu, Soubin Shahir and Joju George, Halal Love Story is a family entertainer. It is set amidst the backdrop of Malabar featuring an attempt of movie lovers to make a movie. It released on Amazon Prime Video on 15 October 2020.

Renowned directors belonging to the world of Tamil cinema like Suhasini Mani Ratnam, Karthik Subbaraj, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Sudha Kongara and Rajiv Menon have worked together for a film titled ‘Putham Pudhu kaalai’. They have all helmed short films which will be put together as one and feature as an anthology series. It comes out on Amazon Prime Video on 16 October 2020.

Aravinnd Iyer and Arohi Narayan are all set to star in this Kannada movie which will be all about food and how it managwes to resolve many intense matters dealing with love. Directed by Karthik Saragur, it will release on Amazon Prime Video on 29 October 2020.

This film is going to be of the horror thriller genre. Helmed by filmmaker Vivy Kathiresan it will have a starcast of Aiswarya Gowda, Varsha Bollama, Ramana, Praveen Prem and Chetan Gandharva in signifiant roles. It is sheduled for a winter release on 19 November 2020.
