As a part of government initiative for unlock 5, the states were granted permission to reopen cinema halls and multiplexes at a 50% capacity amidst the pandemic. The cinephiles are extremely since they’ll get to have the big screen experience once again.

It was also revealed that apart from new films, some of the old movies will also release in theaters. Hence, Bollywood Dhamaka has specially curated a list of all the films which are scheduled for a re-release in theaters:

1. Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan

Starring Ayushmann Khurrana and debutant Jitendra Kumar, Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan was a romantic comedy which garnered a lot of attention for having a story line featuring same-sex relationships. It was immensely successful and people really appreciated this progressive piece of family entertainer.

2. PM Narendra Modi

The biographical drama directed by Omung Kumar came out in 2019. It was loosely based on Narendra Modi, the Prime Minister of India. Vivek Oberoi portrayed his role. As per a post made by the director, the film will target the audience it was not able to release when it got released for the first time.

3. Kedarnath

Starring Sushant Singh Rajput and Sara Ali Khan, Kedarnath will also be returning to the silver screens from 15 October. Although the nation is still shattered about Sushant Singh Rajput’s demise, but the love for him still remains the same. Directed by Abhishek Kapoor, Kedarnath released in 2018.

4. Thappad

This progressive female eccentric drama featured Taapsee Pannu in the lead role. It dealt with the sensitive issue of domestic violence beautifully and was directed by Anubhav Sinha. It hit the theaters during the month of February this year.

5. Khaali Peeli

‘Khaali Peeli’ featured newcomers Ishaan Khatter and Ananya Panday. Although it has already been released on ZeePlex, this masala entertainer was meant for a big-screen release. Luckily, it will be able to do so now. The film was directed by Maqbool Khan and also starred Jaideep Ahlawat as the antagonist.
