Popular face from the television industry, Helly Shah made a smashing debut as she acting in a brand new short film titled ‘Happy Birthday’. Directed by Seemaa Desai and starring Abishek Sharrma and Ashwin Kanan, the film turned out to be quite pleasant, carried out by strong performances and an important message. It also won many awards at various film festivals and was an official entry at the JIFF (Jaipur International Film Festival) 2020.
The story starts off when two friends, (played by Sharrma and Kanan) are returning to their home and are on a road trip after a weekend of hardcore partying with booze, weed and so on. They suddenly come across a girl (played by Shah) who seems to change their world.

Watchers are ought to learn an important life lesson as the story nears the ending. There are quite some emotional moments within the film but it will leave you with a smile on your face nevertheless.
The on-screen bond displayed by the three leads is also praiseworthy and Seemaa Desai’s direction has added more life to the short film with its perfect pacing and striking the right emotional chords at the appropriate moments.
