Makers behind Kollywood sensation Dhanush’s upcoming film ‘Karnan’ gave the fans an absolutely unexpected surprise by revealing the release date of the movie. It is sooner than one can estimate! The lead of the film, Dhanush himself shared a brand new poster from the movie and revealed the release date of ‘Karnan’ through his Twitter handle.
The post said, “#Karnan first look and “THEATRICAL RELEASE” date !!” Included in the poster was the release date which revealed that the film is headed for a theatrical release on 9 April 2021. The poster contained the picture of a bruised Dhanush standing with handcuffs amidst the hues of brown and black in the background.

Mari Selvaraj is the director of the film and it is going to be an intense thriller. As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, the release date had to be delayed. There have been reports that said the film wrapped up the shoot by December 2020.
