Rashmika Mandanna has been widely praised for her performance in *Pushpa 2: The Rule*, sharing the screen with Allu Arjun in the much-anticipated sequel. However, the actress recently revealed her struggles while filming one of the movie’s songs, “Peelings,” which has drawn mixed reactions due to its choreography.
In an interview with Galatta Plus, Rashmika disclosed that the song was filmed under a tight five-day schedule just days before the movie’s release. She also admitted feeling uneasy during the shoot due to her phobia of being lifted, which made the choreography particularly challenging.
“Most of the time, I felt like I was dancing on Allu Arjun sir. I have a phobia of being lifted, and it wasn’t easy for me. It was overwhelming to think, ‘How am I going to do this?’” Rashmika shared.
Despite her discomfort, she understood the importance of the sequence to the film. “I realized the song was crucial to the storyline, and I chose to trust my director and Allu Arjun sir. Their belief in me gave me the confidence to push through,” she said.
Addressing the criticism surrounding the choreography, Rashmika maintained a professional outlook. “As an actor, my role is to entertain and align with my director’s vision. If I start overthinking or avoiding certain roles, I’d be limiting myself. My goal is to deliver what my director wants and to hear the word ‘excellent’ from them—that’s what matters to me,” she explained.
Beyond *Pushpa 2*, Rashmika has an exciting slate of projects lined up, including *The Girlfriend*, *Chhaava*, *Sikander*, and *Kubera*. The actress continues to balance her rising stardom with a dedication to taking on diverse and challenging roles.
