One of the benefits of this devastating year was the fact that people greatly depended on artists and creative content to get by these tough times during this pandemic. Many new films and shows got released on streaming services that won many hearts. Although the digital space has turned out to be quite beneficial for multiple reasons, there lies a stereotype that the content available in the platform is only curated for a mature audience.

That is not at all true. Hence, we bring you the list of all the wholesome OTT shows that are meant for family viewing you should definitely see during this holiday season.

1. Home (ALT Balaji)

Released in 2018, Home is a show created by Ekta Kapoor which is centred on a happy family and its bond. It also involves their struggle as a situation arises and they are almost on the verge of evacuating their house due to demolition. It also features a stellar star cast of Annu Kapoor, Supriya Pilgaonkar, Amol Parashar, Chetna Pandey and Parikshit Sahni. It has been directed by Habib Faisal.

2. Sarabhai vs Sarabhai Take 2 (Disney+ Hotstar)

One of the most popular television sitcoms, Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai made a return on the OTT platform in the form of a second season. It followed the life of an upper-class family hailing from South Mumbai. People were super excited to see Satish Shah, Ratna Pathak Shah, Rupali Ganguli, Sumeet Raghvan and Rajesh Kumar make a return on-screen to play their iconic roles.

3. Gullak (Sony LIV)

The show is more like a collection of rib ticking tales belonging to the quaint by-lanes existing in small towns. It follows the life of Mishta family and also has whole lot of relatable and warm moments apart from a lot of humour. It stars Geetanjali Kulkarni, Jameel Khan, Vaibhav Raj Gupt, Sunita Rajwar, Harsh Mayar and Shivankit Singh Parihar.

4. Panchayat (Amazon Prime Video)

Created by TVF, Panchayat stars popular digital actor Jitendra Kumar in the lead role. He plays the role of a graduate with an engineering degree who finds himself in a village of Uttar Pradesh after taking the job of being a Secretary of a Panchayat.

5.Yeh Meri Family (Netflix)

The nostalgia is heavy on this one! Yeh Meri Family is the story of a young 12 year old boy Harshu as he spends the summer vacation of 1998 exploring different emotions while being on the verge of growing up. It stars Mona Singh, Akarsh Khurana, Vishesh Bansal, Ahan Nirban and Ruhi Khan in lead roles.
