India’s film industry i.e. Bollywood was one of the very first fields to have started work at the earliest once the relaxations were announced during the time of the COVID-19 pandemic. However, as the second wave hit the nation in March, it has become one of the most affected industries. A lot of upcoming projects are being put on hold.

Towards early April Alia had confirmed testing positive for the virus. She was busy shooting for two of her upcoming projects like Brahmastra and Gangubai Kathiawadi. Her post on Instagram said, “I have tested positive for COVID-19. I have immediately isolated myself and will be under home quarantine. I am following all safety protocols under the advice of my doctors. Grateful for all your love and support. Please stay safe and take care.”

The ‘Masaan’ actor also shared about his diagnosis on his social media. His post said, “In spite of all care and precautions, unfortunately, I have tested COVID-19 positive. Following all essential protocols, I am under home quarantine, taking medication as prescribed by my doctor.”

After sharing about being COVID positive, Bhumi also shared how she has been feeling after being under home quarantine. Her statement on Instagram revealed, ” have tested positive for COVID-19. As of today, I have mild symptoms, but am feeling ok and have isolated myself. I am following the protocol given by my doctor and health professionals.”

After his wife, Sunita Ahuja got the virus and recovered, the actor has now contracted COVID. His wife further gave a statement and said they are following all the protocols and he is under home quarantine.

Akshay Kumar was in the middle of shooting his new film ‘Ram Setu’ in Ayodhya when he was found to be COVID positive. As a precautionary measure, he has been hospitalised. His post said, “Thank you, everyone, for all your warm wishes and prayers, they seem to be working. I am doing fine, but as a precautionary measure under medical advice, I have been hospitalised. I hope to be back home soon. Take care.”
