When it comes to marking one’s presence internationally, every celebrity dreams of that. Similarly, in the Bollywood industry, many stars have actually put themselves out there and are recognised worldwide because of the films they did in Hollywood. Stars like Priyanka Chopra, Anil Kapoor, Irrfan Khan, and so on are globally renowned now.

However, there have also been Bollywood celebrities who we could have seen doing particular roles in international films but they had to reject it owing to prior commitments.

Although she did make her Hollywood debut through the film ‘XXX:  The Return Of Xander Cage, there was a buzz before that that she might be seen in the seventh part of the fast and furious franchise.

He has been a very popular face in the television as well as the film industry. In one of his interviews, the star had revealed that he could have been the part of ‘Zero Dark Thirty’, which also won an Oscar. The star chose to do a role in ‘Student of the Year‘ instead.

The rumour mills had kicked into high gear and it was revealed that diva Madhuri Dixit was offered a role in a Hollywood film. The title of the film remains unknown but it was being said that the actress had to play herself in a cameo.

The king of Bollywood could have ruled over Hollywood as well. He was offered a role In the Oscar-nominated Slumdog millionaire. He let go of the role because it didn’t fit well for him.

5. Dilip Kumar


Evergreen Icon from the Bollywood industry, Dilip Kumar Was supposed to star in Lawrence of Arabia that came out in 1962 directed by David lean. The reason behind him not going for the role hasn’t been revealed.
