Ever since the trailer of Ashutosh Gowariker’s Mohenjo Daro released, Twitter is abuzz about a scene from it where an alligator flies over Hrithik Roshan. Our hero Hrithik is travelling in a boat as this happens. He ducks and makes it miss him.
It’s just a three-second scene, but has caught the imagination of Twitterati who have been giving it great publicity. “The flying crocodile in ‘Mohenjo Daro’ is Ashutosh Gowariker’s tribute to the one (Amitabh) Bachchan carried on his back in Gangaa Jamunaa Saraswathi,” critiqued Andec Tanker.
“People are talking of inaccuracies in the #MohenjoDaro trailer. But the biggest 1. How was this croc a R Kelly fan?” joked Norman Sequeira, referring to the R Kelly song, “I believe I can fly.” Pushkar Karn got more sarcastic. “The crocodile got better launch than @hegdepooja in #MohenjoDaro.”
“After Udta Punjab… Udta crocodile. Kejriwal will campaign for Mohenjo Daro as well,” tweeted @Main_Teja_hoon. “Hilarious scene in the trailer in which an alligator is shown flying out of water like dolphin,” wrote Kalmanac magazine in its trailer review on social media.
“Grow up guys, the croc is hardly flying. It’s a lunging reptile, taking a 4ft leap. Cinematic liberty, fellas,” replied Bollywood PR Dale Bhagwagar. “Don’t forget, Hrithik had an amazing fight sequence with an elephant in Jodhaa Akbar, and a very convincing one at that,” he tweeted.
Actor Tiger Shroff praised the trailer, tweeting “@iHrithik sir the bar just keeps going higher! Awesome trailer! #NewExtreme #MohenjoDaroTrailer.” Farhan Akhtar supported his buddy with, “Bring it on mi amigo.. looking good.. @iHrithik #MohenjoDaro.”
Anil Kapoor said that Hrithik makes every film an epic just by being in it. He added that he couldn’t wait to catch it. Colors supremo Raj Nayak too called it epic, saying “Independence day (the release date) suddenly feels so far.”
