Ayushmann Khurrana’s ‘Bala’ featured IndoGerman Filmweek that happened in Berlin

‘Bala’ also captured the outlook of society when it comes to perceiving people on the basis of their appearances.

Ayushmann Khurrana who is known for his unconventional yet hard-hitting films was ecstatic when one of his films was made part of the lineup in the IndoGerman Film week that happened in Berlin on 27 September. It was his 2019 release, ‘Bala’ with Bhumi Pednekar and Yami Gautam.

He took to Instagram to share the poster of his film and wrote alongside it, “Absolutely thrilled to announce that Bala will be showcased at Indo-German Filmweek in Berlin.”

Directed by Amar Kaushik, the film dealt with a common man who begins suffering from premature balding from an early age. ‘Bala’ also captured the outlook of society when it comes to perceiving people on the basis of their appearances. The film amazingly depicted the message of self-love and how one should accept themselves as they are.

It was produced by Dinesh Vijan and earned around 50 crores at the box office while receiving great reviews from the critics.
