Anushka Ranjan, who made a striking debut with Wedding Pullav released last year, shares a great rapport with Alia Bhatt, so much so that she has organised a housewarming party for her good friend who will celebrate her 23rd birthday this month.
According to sources, Alia will ring in her birthday on 15th March in her new house that she is going to gift herself. Since she’s busy with the promotions of her upcoming film, she couldn’t give as much time as she wanted to in planning the party and so her childhood buddies, Anushka Ranjan and her sister Akansha, stepped in to help her out with the party celebrations.
Anushka says, “Alia will be in Delhi to promote her upcoming film on her birthday, March 15, and I’ll be in Dubai so we’ll party in her new home when we’re back.”
It’s learnt that the housewarming party would have Bollywood theme as Alia is a huge Bollywood fan and the party planners will also be incorporating special songs from Alia’s upcoming film.
“The theme will be Bollywood for obvious reasons,” says Anushka elaborating on her friendship with Alia, “We still go out for lunches and dinners. It’s hard to see Alia as a superstar. For me, she’s still my little sister. I have known her since she was six minutes old.”
