From assisting renowned filmmakers like Rajkumar Santoshi in creating his own niche in the world of short films, Divyansh Pandit has come a long way.

Last month, the filmmaker proudly showcased his directorial venture, Mumbai Customs – Seva Se Suraksha Tak, revolving around Mumbai customs, considered as one of the prime contributors to the national revenue and Indian economy.

The Hom’ble Chief Minister of Maharashtra Shri Devendra Fadnavis launched the film on International Customs Day.

Divyansh feels blessed to be part of the documentary, as it features voice-over by megastar Amitabh Bachchan and a motivational message by the Honourable Chief Minister of Maharashtra – Devendra Fadnavis and the Chairman of CBEC – Mr Najib Shah.

He says, “Mumbai Customs imparts detailed knowledge of the functioning, work structure, technology refinements and the statistical achievements made over the years in all fronts.”

A close look at the streamlined operations between the different zones within Mumbai Customs; the documentary is the perfect blend of impeccable narration by Shri. Amitabh Bachchan and visually appealing images of gigantic ships and cranes, air cargo complex, dock cruise liners and the Customs House, shot in cinematic style by his production house, Wild Buffaloes Entertainment.

The filmmaker who has been an avid fan of the megastar had a fan-boy moment when he approached him with the script of Mumbai Customs. He informs, “Mr Rajeev Tandon (Chief Commissioner of Customs) asked me who will be suitable for the voiceover. Even though I had no second thoughts regarding who it should be, I put forth my choice and said Amitabh Bachchan, who was kind enough to take out time for a meeting at his residence in Juhu. Mr. Bachchan wishes to see the film first before deciding if he will lend his voice for narration.”

“After watching the film, he turned towards me and said ‘Normally I dub at Empire Studio, just get in touch with my person and book the studio’. To direct the Big B of Bollywood was a moment of supreme bliss and satisfaction. Now I can live with this exceptional memory for life,” he adds.

Divyansh’s production house, Wild Buffaloes Entertainment strives to produce quality films including commercials, corporate films, short films, documentaries, etc appreciated by audience across the world.

His short film, Lallan from Allahabad, was nominated in the prestigious Filmfare awards 2017 this year.
