Mumbai: Abhishek Bachchan is on a roll , with the stupendous success of his last film Dhoom 3, followed by his championship win at the Pro-Kabaddi League , the actor now has another reason to celebrate as his recent blockbuster, Happy New Year created a landmark in box office history. What’s more ,is that the actor has been touted as the one to watch out for ,in the masala entertainer, with the audiences and critics alike lauding him as the “show stealer”.

Abhishek was invited today to speak at the IIM World Management Conference,the most influential festival of ideas in domain of management education.Collectively organized by all 13 Indian Institutes of Management and Ministry of HRD, Govt of India, the conference aimed at bringing together global scholars to deliberate on issues that impact global management thought.

Abhishek flew to Kolkatta and spoke of how his own films from Refugee, Yuva, Guru, Phir Milenge, Dhoom series, Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna, Dostana, even HNY, show the changing aspirations of Indians on the global map.He also spoke at length about the changing perceptions of Indian films and actors around the world and how global citizens are now consumers of Bollywood, how the Indian cinema industry needs to promote a global film, that transcends global barriers .

Given that he is fast becoming a sports icon within the country – Abhishek also spoke about the future he visualizes for sports,his recent successful attempt to popularize kabaddi and football, the response to these efforts and his aim to create a mainstream viewership for such sports.
