5 noted filmmakers from Tamil cinema join hands for anthology movie titled ‘Putham Pudhu Kaalai’

Renowned directors belonging to the world of Tamil cinema like Suhasini Mani Ratnam, Karthik Subbaraj, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Sudha Kongara and Rajiv Menon will all be working together for a film titled ‘Putham Pudhu kaalai’. They all will be working on short films which will be put together as one and feature as an anthology series.

The stories will deal with topics like love, hope, second chances and so on. It is scheduled for an OTT release on Amazon Prime Video. The official twitter handle of the streaming giant also made the announcement official while also releasing a poster for the same. Sudha Kongara will be directing the short film called ‘Ilami Idho Idho’ which will star Kalidas Jayaram, Urvashi and Kalyani Priyadarshan.

‘Avarum Naanum’ will be directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon and will have a star cast of MS Bhaskar and Ritu Varma.

Suhasini Mani Ratnam will helm the film ‘Coffee, Anyone?’ and feature Anu Hasan, Shruti Haasan and Suhasini Mani Ratnam herself.

Rajiv Menon will be the director of ‘Reunion and it will have Andrea, Leela Samson and Sikkhil Gurucharan in the leads.

Lastly, ‘Miracle’ has been made by Karthik Subbaraj and will star Muthi Kumar and Bobby Simha.

The film is scheduled to release on 16 October 2020.
