Today marks the birthday of Gauri Khan. She is not just superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s wife like people generally know her for. She is an interior designer and has designed the space of many celebrities Roberto Cavalli, Mukesh Ambani, Ralph Lauren, Jaqueline Fernandes, Karan Johar and so on.
She is also a chairperson and co-founder of Red Chillies Entertainment, a production house she owns with her husband Shah Rukh Khan. She is the main producer for all the movies that are produced under Red Chillies. She started acting as a producer through the Farah Khan directorial ‘Main Hoon Na’ and later ‘Om Shanti Om’ and ‘Happy New Year’.
Since she is also a designer, a concept store was also launched by her at Worli, Mumbai in 2014. It is called ‘The Design Cell’ and features all the furniture pieces designed by her and other designers too. During 2017, she also established her design studio in Juhu titled ‘Gauri Khan Designs’.
In 2018, she was also listed under fortune magazine’s ’50 Most Powerful Women’.
