Notable personality within the Hindi film industry, actor Sanjay Mishra is celebrating his b’ day today. He earned a name for himself by portraying many iconic and comedic roles in commercial films. It was in 1995 that he debuted as an actor in films through the film ‘Oh Darling! Yeh Hai India!’.
Before venturing into the film line, Mishra had also appeared in several tv commercials and many television shows like Chanakya, Sorry Meri Lorry, Kabhi Paas Kabhi Fail, Naya Daur, Hum Bambai Nahi Jayenge and so on. Through his portrayals in films like Satya and Dil Se.. he bagged the role of ‘Shukla’ in the popular TV sitcom Office Office.
He also garnered attention through an iconic character known as Apple Singh who was a part of the 1999 cricket world cup campaign. To this day, the legendary Apple Singh flashes before everyone’s eyes when they think of the actor.
Although he has earned a name for himself through his roles in comedies like Apna Sapna Money Money, All The Best: Fun Begins, the Golmaal franchise and so on, he has also portrayed serious roles in films like Satya, Charas, Zameen, Plan and so on.
He had his breakthrough in the year 2014 where he bagged the lead role and depicted his versatility by portraying a serious role. He also won the Filmfare awards for Best Actor (Critics) for his performance. Another film that garnered him a lot of acclaim was ‘Kaamyaab’, centring around a character actor played by him.
