Today marks the birthday of television turned film actress, Prachi Desai. Although she garnered a lot of attention and popularity through her lead role alongside Ram Kapoor in the superhit show ‘Kasamh Se’, she also appeared in a cameo in ‘Kasautii Zindagii Kay’ in 2006 when she was starting out. She was only 17 years old then.
She also appeared in the 2nd season of the popular reality show ‘Jhalak Dikhla Ja’ and emerged victorious as the winner, despite being eliminated once and coming back as a wild card contestant.
It was in 2008 that she ventured into the world of Bollywood and debuted through Abhishek Kapoor’s musical drama film, Rock On!! She later starred in the comedy ‘Life Partner’ and the gangster film ‘Once Upon a Time In Mumbai’. She further starred in films like Teri Meri Kahaani, Bol Bachchan, I, Me Aur Main, Policegiri, Azhar, Rock On 2.
She also starred in the critically praised short film alongside Jackky Bhagnani and Nawazuddin Siddiqui titled ‘Carbon’. It was a part of Large Short Films on Youtube and was set in 2067 where there is a lack of oxygen but an abundance of carbon. It was lauded for its unique concept.

On the cinematic front, she will soon be seen in the upcoming film ‘Kosha’. It is of the horror genre and it will be actress’ first time doing such a role. The release has been delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
