A renowned name in the Telegu cinema, stellar actress, host and producer Lakshmi Manchu is celebrating her birthday today! Apart from her contributions in the south Indian film industry, she has also appeared in US TV shows. She made her debut through the Mani Ratnam film called Kadal in 2011. She then gained recognition for her role as Irendri in the 2011 film ‘ Anaganaga O Dheerudu’.
She, later on, starred in multiple films like ‘Maranthen Mannithen’, ‘Chandamama Kathalu’, W/O Ram, Basmati Blues, ‘Doosukeltha’ and so on. As a producer, she has produced films like Dongaata, Uu Kodathara? Ulikki Padathara?, Nenu Meeku Telusa…? and so on.
She has also won several awards like 2 Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress – Telugu’, ‘SIIMA Award for Best Supporting Actress’ and 2 Nandi Awards, one for best villain and best-supporting actress. She was also felicitated by her college Oklahoma City University with an ‘Alumni Hall of Honour Award’.
