Celebrated actress from the south cinema, Samantha Akkineni is celebrating her birthday today. She set foot in the industry back in 2010 when she starred in the film ‘Ye Maaya Chesave’. Her performance earned her the ‘Best Debut’ award at Filmfare and also a Nandi Award. Some of her other notable works include Eega, Neethaane En Ponvasantham, Sookdu, Kaththi, Theri, 24. Mersal and so on.
People last saw her in the 2020 Telugu film Jaanu that came out in February. Since then they have been eagerly waiting to see her in more projects. On the special occasion of her birthday, Bollywood Dhamaka brings you the list of Samantha Akkineni’s upcoming projects.

1. Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kaadhal
This Tamil language film is going to be a romantic comedy with a stellar cast of Vijay Sethupathi, Nayanthara, and of course Samantha Akkineni. It is going to be a romantic drama with a love triangle narrative. The filming for the same began in August 2020. Around February 2021, the second schedule of the film officially got wrapped. No release date announcement has been made yet.
2. Shaakunthalam
Earlier in 2021, noted filmmaker Ginasekhar revealed that he will be helming a mythological drama film in Telugu. Samantha got roped in to play the role of Shakuntala. The first look was also released in the form of an announcement video. No official release date has been confirmed yet.
3. The Family Man 2
Back in November 2019, Samantha had confirmed her involvement in the second season of the hit web series The Family Man. She will be working alongside Manoj Bajpayee and will be seen playing the role of an antagonist in the series. It will also mark her digital debut. It will be releasing this year.
