Although the actor was known in the Bollywood industry after making a debut with ‘London Dreams’ and further starring in films like ‘Action Replayy’, and ‘Guzaarish’, he earned a name for himself through his portrayal of a failing singer in ‘Ashiqui 2’ alongside Shraddha Kapoor. It also became one of the highest-grossing films of 2013.

5. He is from a filmy family. He has two brothers, i.e. Siddharth Roy Kapur who is the chief executive officer of UTV motion pictures. Whereas, his other brother Kunaal Roy Kapur is also an actor. His grandfather Raghupat Roy Kapur was a film producer while his mother, Salome Roy Kapur won the title of Miss India in 1972.
