Mumbai: “Puneet Issar is undoubtedly a respected veteran and a fatherly figure on Bigg Boss, but bal ka prayog (use of strength) is forbidden on the show. If he continues to use his strength, he should be shown the door,” was what Aarya Babbar’s publicist Dale Bhagwagar had recently stated.
The PR specialist’s words have come true. Puneet Issar has been removed from Big Boss for violence against none other than Aarya during a task on the reality show.
“Aarya has been like Puneet Issar’s chela (disciple) from Day 1. He has revered Mr Issar and would continue to do so,” tweeted Dale immediately after the eviction. “Aarya is a very just and kind-hearted person. If I know him well, he may forgive Mr Issar soon and want to have him back on the show. After all, he looks up to him,” Dale added.
The Bollywood PR guru has earlier handled media for the maximum Bigg Boss contestants and is looking after the publicity for Aarya Babbar and Sonali Raut this season.
It can be recalled that in the initial days of Bigg Boss Season 8, we heard an enraged Puneet threaten to “kill” Gautam Gulati after an altercation. Sometime ago, the actor-director violently kicked furniture in the garden area. He later apologized, as he regularly did.
Puneet called Karishma Tanna his daughter, but later badmouthed her. He even badmouthed Soni Singh, Deepshikha Nagpal and Minissha Lamba. Last week, he used his strength to lift Gautam and put him aside during a task.
Dale feels, “Puneet Issar’s ouster sends a strong positive signal to other contestants not to say things like ‘I would have killed you’ or use physical strength against others on national television.”
