Swara Bhaskar, who turned a year older on April 9, celebrated her birthday with her grandmother in Delhi.
The versatile actress who won huge critical acclaim for her stupendous performance in two back-to-back films – Nil Battey Sannata and Anaarkali of Aarah is very close to her naani who has been hospitalized since almost a week now.
Considering Swara’s hectic schedule, the actress was unable to spend time with her family in Delhi, particularly her dearest grandmother who is critically ill and is in the ICU.
Soon after the release of Anaarkali of Aarah, Swara flew to Delhi to be by her beloved naani’s side, praying for her speedy recovery and celebrate her special day with her.
Swara informs, “My memories of my birthdays are full of my nani (maternal grandmother), and the cakes she used to bake. In fact, until I moved to Mumbai, we never bought a cake from any shop, because we always had the cake made by nani.”
“Today, she is unable to make one sadly. I can’t think of any other way to spend my birthday than being by her side in the hospital. I have always received unconditional love and support from her my whole life and I wish to be able to give her the same,” she adds.
