Actress Shraddha Kapoor interacted with media to promote her upcoming film Haseena Parkar on Saturday in Mumbai. While interacting with media, Shraddha stated that she still doesn’t believe that she has done film with her brother Siddhant Kapoor.
For the first time, real life siblings Shraddha Kapoor and Siddhant Kapoor will be seen onscreen playing reel life siblings in Haseena Parkar, talking about working with Siddhant, Shraddha said, “It was fabulous working with him. It’s surreal actually. I still don’t believe that we have done a film together. I feel when we get older that time we will talk about memories of doing this film together so when we will discuss this at that point of time it will be lot of fun”.
When asked how the feeling was portraying negative character onscreen, Shraddha said, “I think this character is not in negative space. It’s a real life character about which there are lots of theories and guessing but not many people know about her life so I feel it’s a true story of a woman who faced a lot in her life and dealt with some challenging circumstances. It’s a story of woman who has gone through lot of hardship and loss in her life”
When asked her was there any kind of apprehensions doing this role because audience has accepted her as romantic films heroine, she said, “ I don’t have much information about what fans thinks but definitely their love and support is invaluable for me. I felt this is different kind of film for me to do. It was challenging and I thought I will get opportunity to play different kind of role so I took it up”
When asked her whether she prefers doing romantic films or intense film. She said, “Each film has its own challenges. I can’t say doing love stories are difficult or doing intense film is difficult. I think the challenge for me is to do better work and make improvement in my craft”
After Haseena Parkar, Shraddha next will be seen in the biopic of Indian badminton player Saina Nehwal and in Saaho along with Prabhas, talking about those two films, she said, “I haven’t started shooting of Saina Nehwal film yet. I am preparing for it and shooting of that film will take place after some time because there is lot of pre-production work and research is to be done with that film”
“Now I will start shooting for Saaho. It’s my first multi-lingual film which we will shoot in Hindi and Telugu. Recently, I spent two days in Hyderabad for the readings of Saaho with Prabhas and I also met Saina Nehwal there so I am very excited for both these films”
Haseena Parkar is directed by Apoorva Lakhia and it stars Shraddha Kapoor, Siddhant Kapoor and Ankur Bhaatia in lead roles. It is releasing on 22 September, 2017.
