Popular Bollywood bombshell Shraddha Kapoor will be seen in a brand new supernatural avatar in the upcoming film. She is all set to portray the role of a Naagin in a film which will be directed by Vishal Furia. It will be a love story, produced by Nikhil Diwedi.
The actress confirmed the news via an Instagram story where she expressed she is very excited to play such a role. She also mentioned that shapeshifting serpent characters have been portrayed many times on Indian film industry and she idolises late actress Sridevi, who had also portrayed the mythical creature on the silver screens.
Her post said, “It’s an absolute delight for me to play a naagin on screen. I have grown up watching, admiring and idolising Sridevi ma’am’s Nagina and Nigahen and always wanted to play a similar role rooted in Indian traditional folklore. It’s like playing an iconic character, which has always been so fascinating for the audience.”

Shraddha had a great 2020 so far since two of her films ‘Streed Dancer 3d’ and ‘Baagji 3’ released this year theatrically before the COVID-19 lockdown occurred. Both the films were blockbuster hits at the box office.
