After putting up a brilliant show in New Delhi on February 12, actress-fashion entrepreneur Pernia Qureshi is quite excited to bring her show ‘Chandni Raatein – Love and Dance Under The Moonlight’ in her city, Mumbai on February 26.
The dance recital with the theme ‘Chandni Raatein…’ to be held in Mumbai’s NCPA is choreographed by Padma Bhushan Raja Reddy and Padma Bhushan Kumudini Lakhia.
Pernia, who made her Bollywood debut with Muzaffar Ali’s Jaanisaar released last year, is also a trained classical dancer and has learnt Kuchipudi and Kathak under the disciple of great dance gurus Raja Reddy and Kumudini Lakhia.
Pernia’s B-town friends, who will cheer her up at the event include Sonam and Rhea Kapoor, Jacqueline Fernandez, Nimrat Kaur, Lisa Haydon and designers Nachiket Barve and Nimish Shah.
Pernia says, “I did a show in Mumbai two years ago so I’m familiar with the NCPA stage, but I haven’t performed solo in as long, so I am nervous. But Delhi has warmed me up.”
