Popular actress Lara Dutta who is a former Miss World from 2000 took a trip down the memory lane and shared an amazing moment from 20 years ago on her Instagram. She revealed in her post that her hometown, Bangalore gave her a grand welcome when she returned from the competition where she made the entire nation proud.

In her post, she said, “Year 2000. My home town of Bengaluru came out in full force to give me the biggest, grandest welcome I have ever experienced!! The Miss Universe officials who had accompanied me on this trip were overwhelmed!! They had never experienced such large numbers of people!!”

On the work front, Lara recently shot for a new film ‘BellBottom”. It was one of the first-ever films that began to shoot and successfully wrapped up amidst the pandemic. She will be seen in the film with Akshay Kumar, Vaani Kapoor and Huma Qureshi. It will be releasing in 2021.
